What does College Admissions Services do?

College Admissions Services, Inc. is an Internet-based admissions counseling organization. The basis of our services is our proprietary ChancesR™ technology, which allows us to predict a potential applicant's percentage chances of admission at more that 150 undergraduate colleges and the top 50 U.S. graduate business schools. Our objective, statistics-based approach gives our clients access to accurate, personalized, and unbiased information. Armed with their percentage chances of admissions, our clients are able to make confident, informed decisions about their futures.

We also offer premium admissions counseling services to help undergraduate and MBA applicants figure out where to apply and how they can improve their chances of admission at their top choices. Please contact us if you are interested in counseling services.

Why do I need to know my chances of admissions?

Applying to business schools can be a time-consuming, expensive, and stressful process. Knowing your percentage chances of admission can help you make confident, informed decisions about where to apply. You will know which top programs best match your background and achievements and where you stand at your top choices. Knowing this will enable you to focus on the top business schools where you have the best chances of getting in. You will also be able to alleviate anxiety by identifying a "safety school."

How do I find out my chances of admission at the business schools I am considering?

All you have to do is go to Focus Your Choices, select the business schools you are interested in, and fill out a simple, online form with your academic and professional background, GMAT (or anticipated GMAT score), TOFEL score (if applicable), resume, and extracurricular activities. The process takes about 10 minutes to complete. An admissions expert will work with your data and our ChancesR technology to calculate your percentage chances of admission for each program you selected. Our predictions of your percentage chances of admission and those of the average applicant will be emailed to you within 5 business days of submitting your order.

Do you provide counseling services?

Yes. Our admissions specialists can guide you through the admissions process, provide recommendations for where to apply based on your strengths and preferences, and help you with any other custom requests you may have. Please contact us and let us know how we can help you.

How much does the GMAT matter?

It depends on the business school. At some MBA programs, the GMAT comprises more than 40% of each admissions decision, while at other programs the GMAT counts for 25% of the decision. Because each program places a different emphasis on the GMAT, it is possible that your chances of admission at a more highly ranked program may be higher than your chances at a lower ranked program.

Will the admissions round or date I apply affect my chances of being accepted?

Yes and no. Most MBA programs urge applicants to apply as early as possible. While this advice is primarily selfish and designed to make the jobs of the admissions officers easier, it also benefits applicants. In general, it is better to apply earlier than later. Typically, more students are accepted in the early rounds/deadlines than they are in the later rounds/deadlines. We have seen cases where some business schools only accepted a handful of students in the last round because the class had been filled in previous rounds. Applying early shows that you are interested in the business school and well-organized. With that said, it can also be more difficult to get in early in the process. Many of the people who apply early, particularly in the first round, are super-organized, outstanding applicants.

Can you describe your money back guarantee?

We will refund the fee for our predictions of your chances of admission for each MBA program that we do not predict correctly. If we predict that your chance of getting in to an MBA program is above 50% (i.e. 51%, 75%, etc.) and you are not accepted by that program based on the same information that you provided to us, then we will refund the fee you paid for your chance of admission at that MBA program. Similarly, if we predict your chance of getting into an MBA program is below 50% and you get in, we will also refund the fee you paid for your chance of admission at that program.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit and debit cards, PalPal and money orders. If you are interested in paying by money order, please mail your payment to: CAS, 641 W. Willow St., Ste 107, Chicago, IL 60614. Your report will be emailed to you upon receipt of payment.
